Lichen Picture Sclerosis
Lichen picture sclerosis is helpful in identifying this condition from HPV or other vulvar infections.
The condition is not infections and is believed to have genetic linkage. The symptoms include itching and appearance of white patches on the skin accompanied with splitting sometimes. Due to vaginal opening decline, a sexual intercourse is painful. The purpose of treatment is to lessen pain and the symptoms.

Both men and women may suffer from this condition with the incidence being much higher in women. The disease affects vulva or penis and the anal area. The origin of the condition is unknown and there is no way of eradicating it completely at the moment.
