Lichen sclerosis et atrophicus symptoms may mimic the symptoms of venereal wart or genital wart viruses.
The exact cause of the disease is not known. Since the condition appears to be painful due to vulva damage, it is recommended to use steroids for relief. The condition is chronic and tends to appear further in life. Support groups may help patients handle the situation.
