Recurrent Vaginitis
Recurrent vaginitis is not usually treated with the LEEP procedure as ASCUS commonly is.
Women with repeated episodes should contact a doctor to make sure the inflammation is related to this vaginal disorder. It is established that the majority of women self-diagnose the condition mistakenly. In fact, the symptoms may be due to the influence of irritants making anti-bacterial medications unnecessary.

Patients who have experienced a few episodes of this condition are well aware of the peculiar signs such as itching, burning on urination and intercourse, and abnormal vaginal discharge. Though this infection is common, it is considered chronic if repeats four or more times a year. Recurrent vaginitis is not usually treated with the LEEP procedure as ASCUS commonly is.
